As real estate agents face new and uncharted realities right now, a new support tool aims to provide property professionals with free access to “be heard and helped”.
REB’s Mentor of the Year for 2019, Tanja Lee, has developed a support line (0413 219 923) for professionals in the real estate and property sector.
According to Ms Lee, the support line is for those “who may feel uncertain, stressed, insecure and overwhelmed with the economic impacts of COVID-19”.
“Whether it be a business closure, letting people go, lost deals, no income, difficult conversations, making ends meet or general stress”, the mentor noted that it’s available for all principals, agents, property managers and support staff.
Industry stakeholders and service providers are also welcome, she added.
Ms Lee said: “We cannot control what is happening outside of us; however, we can absolutely control what occurs within us.”
The whole aim of the service “is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for leaders and teams to be seen and heard, in the face of rapid and forced change”.
She said: “Whether it’s to lend an unbiased ear, provide some insight or share proven resources and strategies to elevate our individual and collective capacity to rise resilient and be resourceful in times of great struggle, I’m here.”
