Opportunity knocks for RE/MAX in Sydney growth suburb

A new real estate offering will soon be making its home in Sydney’s Macquarie Park.

It’s been announced that Cooper Wang will be kicking off RE/MAX My Home in the suburb at the end of this month.

After spending the last five years selling off-the-plan apartments in Sydney, Mr Wang has expressed the belief that property buyer activity will increase in the coming years, spurred on by attractive interest rates since mid-last year.

The Epping local has indicated his market focus will be on two suburbs he considered as a “high priority” to the New South Wales government and residential sector.

“More than 6,000 new apartments will be built in Macquarie Park alone, so I anticipate a great deal of opportunity for buyers and sellers,” he commented.

RE/MAX has highlighted Mr Wang’s extensive business and corporate experience before he made the move into real estate several years ago.

“Cooper joined the RE/MAX U program, an incubator for ambitious franchise owners, in the second half of last year and from the outset had a plan to open his own office by mid-2020,” RE/MAX Australia director Josh Davoren commented.

“And he’s stayed right on track and true to his goal.

“He saw tremendous scope for growth for the RE/MAX network in Sydney and has seized the opportunity to be a part of it as a franchise owner.”

Mr Wang’s expertise is in off-the-plan sales for Chinese-speaking clients, and he expects this to serve him well as a focus over the next one to two years.

After that, he expects to be negotiating sales in existing properties for both English and Chinese-speaking clients, believing that “buyers will return to the off-plan market as prices in the real estate market rise over the next three years”.

“We focus on finding the potential buyer and closing the deal in off-the-plan apartments sales,” he noted.

As to staffing the new office, Mr Wang plans to grow his team as his client base broadens.

“Operating in a network with the size, scale, reputation and global reach of RE/MAX is an advantage. The majority of agencies in the Sydney off-the-plan market don’t have the reputation and reach of a number one global real estate brand,” he said.

“RE/MAX My Home’s reputation will be as the local expert providing professional real estate services, especially in the off-the-plan apartment market, firstly in the sales arena and later in property management as well.”
