The Agency’s Queensland general manager, David Price, has revealed a brand-new team member as joining the business in Brisbane — his very own dad.
Garry Price has been welcomed into The Agency’s Queensland arm, having previously been the director of an East Brisbane business with Ray White.
According to his son, it’s “really exciting” that the pair will be working together once again, after first doing so when he was just 19.
“Garry and I are very close, he is a great dad and grandfather to my kids. He is a wonderful man,” David said.
On his father’s selling skills, the general manager said: “Garry is very committed to getting the best possible results for everybody he deals with.
“He loves working with people and he has loved the industry for over 20 years.”
According to Garry, his son is responsible for first showing him the real estate ropes.
He revealed: “David taught me everything I know. We are very similar; he is a people person just like me and we both have great communication skills.
“When I first started in real estate, David said to me, ‘Dad, you’re still acting like you’re still in a hairdressing salon. You’re talking to people rather than listening to them.’
“After that, I learnt to sit down and listen to the clients and their needs. I work and build their trust so I can give them the best-quality service and results.”
Garry Price will continue his focus on the eastern suburbs of Brisbane, including Bulimba, Hawthorn and Balmoral.
He’s not alone in making the move, bringing across his property management team to The Agency, led by Julia Kabakoff.
The Agency reported his experience as spanning properties from investment apartments to family homes and exclusive one-of-a-kind listings, with lifestyle driving many purchasers to the area.
Network CEO Matt Lahood said he is honoured Garry chose to take the next step in his career with the group.
“Garry joins The Agency as an elite performer within the Brisbane region, having built up a strong customer network and ties to the community over his two decades in the industry,” the CEO said.
