Stone Real Estate is gearing up to celebrate a major milestone by the end of August.
The opening of Stone Gregory Hills in Sydney’s south-west this month will be the 50th office the group has opened since adopting a franchise model back in 2016.
The group’s good news doesn’t end there, with the network hinting at another two offices that are set to open their doors in the coming months.
According to Stone’s head of franchise, Luke Cameron, hitting the 50-office milestone in half a decade “validates our unique approach to franchising”.
He said: “The Australian real estate franchise landscape has been dominated by traditional business-format franchise models for decades now… But our growth can be attributed to encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit among our business owners, which in turn fosters a high-performance culture.”
Reflecting on their growth, Stone founder and CEO Peter Mumford said the group’s success “is based on the fact that we have the expertise to partner with everyone”.
“Our franchise model is successful because it doesn’t require agents to conform to a framework. Stone was built around meeting the needs of business owners,” he said.
While the business has had eyes on new members, it’s also firmly focused on current members, reporting plans to roll out a rebrand to all agencies.
This is expected to increase the emphasis on digital marketing and social media resourcing for its agent base.
Through this “fresh, entrepreneurial focus”, Mr Cameron revealed that the group aims to better fulfill the needs of the younger generation of real estate professionals, and help them realise their full potential as business owners “rather than stifle them into a certain approach”.
The phased rollout will include expanded regional branding efforts to support the brand’s growing presence in the regions as well as address what Stone sees as increasing demand from sea-changers and tree-changers.
