Raine & Horne has announced a further expansion to its network, with the opening of a new office in the St George region.
Dubbed Raine & Horne Hurstville, the new office will be led by young gun duo Chris Arvanis and Jake Harrison.
For the new business owners, the opening of their new business is a callback to a past partnership for the pair, who have previously operated a Sylvania Waters pizzeria – with Mr Arvanis as the owner and Mr Harrison as the cook.
Outside of his responsibilities as a cook, Mr Harrison was already working as a real estate agent back then, building experiences in both commercial and residential sectors. To date, he has successfully sold properties worth upwards of $150 million.
Mr Arvanis let go of his restaurant in 2017 and made the big jump to real estate after having his property passion ignited by the successful sale of his home and his first investment in North Sydney.
In their new venture, Mr Arvanis said they aim to draw from each other’s experience and drive – like “yin and yang” – to realise the full potential of their business.
“I was 22 when I opened the pizzeria, the same age that Jake is right now, [so] it’s a bit like looking back in time sometimes, though now I get to do it all again having learned what I’ve learned, with a partner who’s even more driven than I was back then, which says a lot,” according to him.
And what better place to grow their new business than in their “old stomping grounds” – the St George region?
“Hurstville is an excellent fit for us,” Mr Arvanis highlighted.
“Having owned a restaurant in a nearby high-end area like Sylvania Waters … [we have become] familiar with the people there, and how they live, and their lifestyle and investment motivations.
“This means that Jake and I are well-placed to service their real estate needs,” he added.
Looking ahead, the duo shared their plans to appeal to a wider range of clients and ultimately amplify their success by being “big on social media” and maximising the digital marketing technologies on offer from the network.
