After its success in 2020, a car is once again at the centre of one Brisbane agency’s spring market campaign.
LJ Hooker Property Centre is providing property owners with the chance to win a brand-new Mitsubishi Mirage valued at almost $20,000 as it ramps up its efforts with potential vendors.
According to the Cleveland agency, located in Brisbane’s south-east, every sales or rental listing received between 1 September and 30 November 2021 will go into the pre-Christmas draw, which is aimed at “motivating those contemplating selling to act”.
LJ Hooker sales manager Graeme Carmichael has revealed that the agency was spurred to repeat the campaign following the success of the campaign in 2020, when approximately 200 entrants were in the running.
“Offices tend to stick to the ‘traditional’ giveaways, like a hamper, so we thought we’d go big,” he said.
Explaining that they came up with the idea last year in response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, Mr Carmichael said “if people are doing it tough, obviously a car can help if they need one”.
“There is also the option of trading it straight back to the dealership in exchange for cash,” he added.
From the agency’s perspective, the sales manager said it gives the agents and property managers “a reason to go back to their database and have another conversation with the vendor or investor about making the move now”.
LJ Hooker’s head of network performance, Stephen Mutton, called the spring campaign put in place by LJ Hooker Property centre “a great initiative and one that gives back to the community”.
“LJ Hooker has always been very community-focused and it is great to see an office getting back to the roots of our business and supporting others,” he said.
With just over two months of the campaign remaining, the agency has reported that demand for property in Brisbane’s Redlands City area remains high.
It said many upgraders and first-time buyers are keen to purchase in the area, which has also benefited from a very recent increase in the number of interstate purchasers looking to tap into the area.
According to Mr Carmichael, the market has picked up since Brisbane’s week-long lockdown at the start of August, and agents are now preparing for a busy spring market.
“Brisbane remains relatively affordable, so there has been a lot of buyers coming up from Sydney who are looking to move here and work remotely.”
