Brisbane’s Bayside area has a new brand in town, thanks to two local agents – and they’re off to a flying start.

After respective franchise stints, Luke Humphrys and David Pearce have taken on their own agency, known as Bayside Property Agents.

It was the pull of their own personal brands that drove them to create something brand new in Bayside Property Agents, they said, with the new offering powered by UrbanX.

Prior to opening their own business, their clients were listing with them “not because of who they worked for, but because of the results they were achieving”.

According to Mr Humphrys, “we saw the benefit of building a brand for the future and felt that working for a franchise wasn’t the best way for us to continue to grow.”

It was Mr Humphrys’ own experience buying and selling real estate that first prompted him to join the industry.

“When I was going through the process, the level of service just wasn’t what I expected. I saw a huge gap in the market, and this motivated me to get into the industry, treat people with respect, and use my previous experience to showcase properties through exceptional digital marketing strategies,” he outlined.

For Mr Pearce, the real estate journey only started three-and-a-half years ago when he moved to Australia after working for the police in London.

The pair have explained that establishing a localised brand was very important to them: “We are both so passionate about the Bayside region, and by working under the Bayside Property Agents brand, we are able to create our own local business in an area that we both live and breathe.”

Their decision to launch Bayside Property Agents is paying off in spades, having kicked things off with 19 listings out the gate.

They say they haven’t looked back – crediting UrbanX for what they have been able to achieve in such a short space of time: “It’s a service culture instead of a permission culture. They work with us, to help us achieve what we want to, which is very different to constantly asking for permission to do things,” said Mr Pearce.

“This is the first time I’ve worked with someone who has been able to move at the same pace as us. It is so refreshing!” Mr Humphrys added.

According to the duo, “this is only the beginning for Bayside Property Agents”.
