Servicing the city’s western suburbs, the office fills a gap for the nationwide network.
Kris Matthews’ Toowong team will now be known as Harcourts Property Partners, moving on from Ray White.
Harcourts Queensland chief executive Mitch Peereboom said the office operated in a critical market for the brand, as it would bring the network’s presence back into the area.
“This is a long-standing business in the community, made up of a team of professionals with a brilliant culture. To rebrand this office to join our group is the greatest compliment we can receive, and we thank them for their confidence in our direction. I know we will continue to grow together,” Mr Peereboom said.
On his part, Mr Matthews said he chose to join Harcourts for the brand’s values, which mirrored that of his team.
“Family is at the core of our values. Our team is a family, and we operate as such. We share the good times and support each other through the tough ones, and we’ve always got each other’s backs.
“The Harcourts values align closely with my own on both a personal and professional level. In particular, I’ve always felt that the success of my team heavily relies on putting people first – both the individuals in my team, as well as our clients,” Mr Matthews said.
He commented that despite the network’s size – numbering over 380 offices across Australia – he felt it operated like a family business, “where people know one-another, and support each other”,
That ethos has always been integral to Mr Matthews’ way of working, and according to him, he’s amassed a group of real estate professionals who feel the same.
“My team are incredible. We connect well with a wide range of demographics across not only our specialist area of the inner west, but also further afield. Our clients continue to provide feedback that as individual agents, and as a team, we put our clients’ interests first, we always go above and beyond to ensure an unrivalled positive experience in buying or selling, and we achieve results well above expectations,” he said.
