Bringing in experience from the likes of AirBnb and Nike, an ASX-listed network has revealed a new non-executive director will be joining the board.
Juliana Nguyen’s appointment to a non-executive director position with McGrath Limited has come the same day as the announcement that Andrew Robinson will be retiring from his role as a non-executive director, effective 18 February 2022.
According to McGrath chair Peter Lewis, “this change in the board is part of the ongoing board renewal program that we referenced as being underway at the recent general meeting of shareholders”.
The ASX announcement has touted Ms Nguyen’s more than 20 years of international experience across marketing, advertising, commercial and general management roles encompassing a wide range of industries.
Having previously held roles including regional marketing director, APAC at Airbnb; marketing director, ANZ at Nike; global chief marketing officer at N26, and managing director, Vietnam at TBWA\Worldwide, McGrath has noted her experience has seen her working with companies at many different stages of growth across Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States.
Mr Lewis has commented that the company is “excited to welcome Juliana with her skills and experience to the board and very much look forward to her contribution in the next stage of McGrath growth”.
Ms Nguyen herself said she was “delighted” to join the company’s board “as it experiences this next phase of growth”.
John McGrath, the network’s founder and executive director, has echoed Mr Lewis’ sentiment, stating: “It is a great pleasure to welcome Juliana to our board.”
“Not only does she have great general business acumen, but her marketing and brand skills and insights will be invaluable additions to our team.”
Mr McGrath and Mr Lewis have also taken the time to thank Mr Robinson for his service to the McGrath company, to which the outgoing non-executive director responded that it had been “an honour to have been a director of this market leader and I wish the board and the company all the best for the future”.
