With big plans to beef up support in several states and territories within the next year, a network has made a key appointment in NSW with a new network manager.
Raine & Horne has named Celeste Kopps to the role. Ms Kopps is a former general manager of Stone Real Estate Parramatta, where she oversaw the property management division.
Andrew Brien, Raine & Horne chief executive, said that Ms Kopps’ recruitment was the first strategic move in the network’s plans to expand their management support in NSW, Queensland and Western Australia.
“Celeste joins us at a time of significant growth with at least 12 offices joining our group in Q1 2022 across Australia,” Mr Brien said.
“We have a fantastic pipeline of offices coming on. Having a diverse corporate team to help our new and established offices win more appraisals and listings and augment their profits will keep us ahead of the curve.”
Ms Kopps, who is a property management specialist but brings extensive experience in sales to the role, will be focusing on supporting the brand’s offices in the Hunter, Illawarra, St George, inner west, north-west and south-west of Sydney.
Mr Brien noted that her management background, coupled with her on-the-ground experience overseeing a significant rent roll, made her perfect for the position.
“Celeste has been transactional recently, and for us having this current agency experience in our corporate team is essential.
“Many corporate teams have people who haven’t been in transactional roles for three, four, five years and longer. Network managers such as Celeste are a big point of difference for us,” he said.
Ms Kopps, who was a finalist in REB’s rising star category at the 2019 Women in Real Estate Awards, said she felt the role was a natural next step in her career trajectory.
“I’m eager for the challenge as I have done everything there is to do in a real estate office, including sales, property management and working alongside principals,” she said.
She felt that experience placed her well to help Raine & Horne’s offices take the next step.
“I’ve done recruitment, implemented new systems and managed a rebrand. I understand the processes within an office from start to finish.
“Already, my recent experience running a property management department is resonating with those principals I’ve met. They want to pick my brains about how I ran a successful PM department,” she said.
“When working side by side with a principal, I realised my role was to make their plans and strategies happen. I can now be more proactive and approach principals with new ideas, products and services that can help them advance their businesses.”
