Ray White Real Estate of Origin call a thon reb

More than 6,100 appraisals across Australia and New Zealand were booked in just four hours at a recent network-powered drive.

Real Estate of Origin, a friendly yet challenging bi-annual competition of the Ray White group, served as the property group’s kick-off event for 2022.

Ray White chief strategy officer for real estate Mark “Macca” McLeod hosted the event from the Ray White Concierge media room in Brisbane, together with Bianca Denham in Adelaide and Tim Snell in Sydney from the group’s national performance team.

“Our seventh Real Estate of Origin has been exceptional and shows the breath and scale of the Ray White Group. No one other single group could drum up 6,100 plus appraisals in one afternoon,” Mr McLeod commented.

Using their NurtureCloud technology, agents across Australia and New Zealand were encouraged to reconnect with residential, commercial, and rural contacts in their databases.

“We are 100 per cent in the people business and agents ultimately need to make calls and connect with their clients,” Mr McLeod said.

“I love their spirit and sense of competition.”

Dan White, the managing director of the Ray White Group, was inspired by the opportunity given to the team to work on a common goal.

“No matter what's going on in the market, there's nothing better than being close to the customer and offering a great service,” Mr White stated and also expounded, “Appraisals are the cornerstone to building momentum as a group. The stock will flow through.”

Queensland topped the call-a-thon event by overtaking New Zealand in the last hour with 2,043 appraisals booked.

New Zealand agents ultimately booked 1,902 appraisals, with Victoria/Tasmania recording 1,161 appraisals.

On an office level, Ray White Maroochydore in Queensland emerged as the top team, locking in  a total of 355 appraisals.

Ray White Aspley wasn’t far behind, with 327, while Ray White Mooloolaba recorded a total 221 appraisals.

Sarah-Louise Anderson, a Maroochydore agent who finished the day with 101 appraisals, behind only Charlie Brothers of Manakau in South Auckland with 153 appraisals, spilled the beans on how she achieved an impressive output, disclosing: “My secret is data management.”

“When I was a teenager, I was a PA for an agent who showed me the power of a clean database. I work my pipeline of prospective vendors and then past purchasers and past vendors. I had lots of good touch points, then I hit my good advocates category and then my investors and a whole lot more people said yes than normal,” she explained.

“Everyone wanted to know what the local market was like? So many people were curious, especially if they don’t live here,” added Ms Anderson.

At the end of the day, the call-a-thon empowered Ms Anderson and other agents to check-in with their clients and provide current data on market trends, which the network noted as exactly what the event hoped to achieve, providing “the golden opportunity to go one step forward by having those critical one-on-one conversations”.
