Business owners Daniel and Monja Schoeman are opening a second office in Metung next month under the RE/MAX Genesis brand.

The new office’s waterfront location is one of the main contributing factors for the business’ strategic move into the village.

“We absolutely love living in Metung. We always intended opening an office here and grow our market share in this stunning location. When the opportunity arose to secure this high-profile space with the closure of another real estate business, we didn’t hesitate,” the couple said in a statement.

The Victorian town, located between Bancroft Bay and Lake King, has been reported as a charming and upmarket seaside town that represents the essence of the Gippsland region and offers residents lakeside living and a year-round holiday feeling.

The new office will present the business with the opportunity to build off of the significant growth of the Lakes Entrance office – which only opened in December 2020 – and aims to bring Metung the benefits of a local team and an international brand.

“Our team at Lakes Entrance has grown considerably and RE/MAX Genesis will grow further in all aspects  client base, agent numbers, business profitability, PM rent roll,” the Schoemans said.

They consider the Metung office the first step in their grand plan of establishing a full-service office in each of the major centres in the Gippsland region.
