A couple’s purchase and rebranding of an agency in Nerang aim to strengthen Raine & Horne’s stronghold in the Gold Coast.
After opening a Raine & Horne office in Coomera in mid-2018, Jason and Jacqui Read have acquired another agency to fortify their business in Queensland under the name Raine & Horne Nerang.
According to Mr Read, the strategic move will enable their team to reach out to “more vendors, buyers, landlords, and tenants in the corridor between Pacific Pines to Mudgeeraba who have been underserviced”.
Easy access to schools, universities, hospitals, and transportation, such as the G:Link light rail and an airport, make the Gold Coast a popular choice among buyers, Mr Read noted.
Families relocating from the southern states in search of larger lots but still wanting to be close to the beaches and all of the world-class attractions flock to Nerang and its adjacent suburbs, he expounded.
Breaking down Nerang’s market profile, he said, “70 per cent of properties in Nerang are owner-occupied with the balance available for rent”.
Offering lifestyle amenities while still scoring high on affordability, Mr Read referred to Nerang as “popular with home buyers as it is close to the Gold Coast’s famous beaches but still has a great family vibe”.
As an example, he claimed buyers could still find three- or four-bedroom older homes on 600- to 900-metre blocks for as low as $600,000.
Nerang’s value-for-money appeal has found thousands of tenants in search of rentals in the area, with some almost giving up hope of purchasing their first home, the couple noted – and it’s this target market that the Reads are looking to reach.
“Having another office will give our staff room to grow and our sales agents more leverage to speak to more people. It’s a gratifying aspect of running a real estate office,” Mr Read stated.
A total of 30 real estate professionals from the couple’s two offices will be serving clients in the region.
Commending Mr and Mrs Read’s strategic decision to expand their presence in the Gold Coast, Raine & Horne general manager Steve Worrad said: “Jason and Jacqui are excellent operators who have carefully and strategically planned the opening of a second office. They are both excellent communicators, and I have no doubt they will make a success of their latest venture as they have with Raine & Horne Coomera.”
