An agency is donating a percentage of its sales commission over the next two months to support kids and their families seeking lifesaving medical treatment.
Raine & Horne Newcastle has struck a three-year partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities’ local chapter.
They’re kicking off the commitment with a pledge to donate 10 per cent of their commission on residential sales between 1 April and 30 June.
Ross Bingham, Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW chief executive, explained what partnerships such as this mean for the organisation’s work.
“As a community owned and operated charity, we rely on the generosity of the community. So we are extremely grateful to Raine & Horne Newcastle coming on board to help us continue to provide the vital services families need during some of their darkest moments,” he said.
The charity provides housing, meals, family activities, peer support, resources for siblings, respite, laundry facilities and many other services for the families of children requiring care at John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
Last year, the organisation supported the various needs of over 1,000 families.
Cody Bice, Raine & Horne Newcastle’s managing director, commented that the organisation did “wonderful things to make the lives of families as comfortable as possible when going through one of the hardest things a family can go through”.
“We are very proud to support [RMHC] NNSW and can’t wait for our partnership to grow over the course of the next three years,” Mr Bice added.
