An agent with deep ties to both Raine & Horne and the Central West NSW town of Grenfell will launch the brand’s new office in the region.

Graeme Schneider and Ros Schneider have acquired Grenfell’s long-running independent real estate firm Clive J. Anderson & Co and will run the office under Raine & Horne’s banner, complementing their existing enterprise with the network in the neighbouring town of Young.

Mr Schneider, who joined Raine & Horne Young in 1993 before working his way up to lead the business, was born and bred in Grenfell and lived there up until 2011.

He said establishing an office in the town felt like “coming home”.

Raine & Horne Young already dealt with properties in Grenfell’s borders, but the opportunity to acquire the independent business meant taking over its rent roll, which appealed to the husband-and-wife team.

“[It] means we are not starting Raine & Horne Grenfell from scratch,” Mr Schneider said.

“We will offer residential, lifestyle, rural and commercial properties sales and property management in Grenfell,” he added, noting that the business would also service the surrounding areas of Boorowa, Harden and the greater Hilltop region.

He said he felt this new office would complement the network’s recent expansion in the state’s Central West.

“I have been with Raine & Horne since 1993 and since then, we have continued to expand, including the new offices in Parkes and Cowra that have done very well,” he said.

“The new offices that now include Raine & Horne Grenfell have filled in a few strategic gaps in this part of NSW”.

In his view, the greatest challenge ahead is in locking down sufficient offerings to keep up with demand, following an influx of Sydneysiders beginning in mid-2020 who were seeking to escape lockdowns and looking for a lifestyle shift.

Even while the tide of metro relocators has eased, Mr Schneider said the desire for property in the area remains high.

“There is still plenty of buyer enquiry, and if any well-located, quality properties hit the market, they will settle quickly.

“Grenfell has seen plenty of growth, but with a median house price around $320,000, this region offers plenty of real estate affordability,” he said.

Angus Raine, executive chairman of Raine & Horne, added that the network would be looking to capitalise on the larger area’s interest with greater expansion in the future.

“Rural and regional real estate is a major focus for us. Apart from Graeme and Ros opening a second office in Grenfell, several of our other principals have also launched new offices in Armidale and Gloucester within the first quarter of 2022,” Mr Raine said.

“We have enjoyed a strong presence in the Central West region for many decades, and we are eyeing off opportunities for further growth in this region.”
