Belle Property’s fastest-growing team has officially planted roots in its latest location, taking on the brand’s Mosman office.

Following the announcement that Matthew Smythe and Mark Jackson, principals of Belle’s offices in Neutral Bay, Crows Nest, and Cammeray, would expand their operation to Mosman, the duo are officially up and running.

They step into the shoes of Stefon Bertram, who served as managing partner, and Tim Foote, the office’s founder, who recently joined forces with up-and-comer Pello.

Mr Smythe said he was “honoured to take up the reins in Mosman”.

“Belle Property has been at the forefront of many of Mosman’s property transactions over the years, and we look forward to not only meeting, but exceeding the premium service levels our clients have come to expect from our brand locally,” he said.

It’s an area he knows well, having been active professionally in Mosman’s community for the last 20 years, and with his children attending neighbourhood schools.

“This is one of Sydney’s best places to live which truly ticks all the lifestyle boxes – harbour-side location with easy access to the city, family-friendly homes on quiet tree-lined streets, great shopping and amenity – all topped off by the crowning glory of Balmoral Beach,” Mr Smythe said.

Mr Smythe holds a particular soft spot for the suburb’s oceanside stretch, having proposed to his wife on Balmoral’s sands.

Belle Property chief executive Peter Hanscomb said that move felt like a natural fit for the duo and their rapidly expanding team.

“Matthew and Mark are highly esteemed in lower north shore real estate circles, so it makes perfect sense to add Mosman to their stable. This expansion comes hot on the heels of their Crows Nest office opening earlier this year, further cementing their position as leading lights in the area’s property market,” Mr Hanscomb said.

“Matthew and Mark are in perfect alignment with what our brand stands for. They are well-known for operating with high levels of integrity, and going the extra mile in providing unsurpassed service levels and outcomes for clients,” he added, noting that their sales had topped $560 million in 2021 alone.

Mr Smythe remarked that Mosman presented plenty of opportunities to continue their past level of performance.

“Mosman’s lifestyle offerings coupled with its array of prestige properties means buyer demand is constantly high in the suburb—particularly in recent times with its median house price up 14 per cent over the last 12 months to $5 million,” he said.
