Another new real estate offering has popped up in Sydney, with its founder looking to fill what he sees as a gap within the profession.
Marco Fabrizio is the brains behind the newly founded Melrose Estate Group, which is already boasting four new Melrose Estate Agents offices thanks to partnerships across Sydney’s north, south, and inner west.
Giving some insight into the new business venture, Mr Fabrizio stressed that the group “is not plug and play” – and nor is it a franchise offering.
Instead, he shared: “It’s get in and get your hands dirty and build something for yourself.”
From his perspective, “the industry is missing exactly that”.
While lauding all of his principals as having come into the business “off the back of amazing careers as listing sales agents from franchise agents”, he said, “they were never taught how to build out an entire business model, own a rent roll, scale one, build an office, have input on ideas and get them executed”.
His has outlined his vision as less red tape and more willpower – with a strong emphasis on leadership.
“Leadership is big at Melrose and all of us will lead this brand to become a leader in this industry. This is why they are founding principles, [be]cause they are building this business just as much as I am – I can not do it alone,” Mr Fabrizio said.
Since kicking things off a little over a month ago, the group chief executive said he’s already recruited a number of award-winning agents, as well as an exciting 500-square metre office in Ryde, which is currently under construction.
Ahmad Malas and Paul Tassone are taking on the Ryde location, with Melrose Estate Group revealing that the team of 12 are already looking forward to moving into the space in one month’s time, with the aim of expanding to 30 personnel.
Sydney’s south-west is another focus area for the group, helmed by none other than Steven Cirillio, who will open a second office alongside Laura Raneri and Ali Saleh, with all three taking on director roles within the business.
For Mr Saleh, the opportunity to join Melrose came at the same time he was navigating opportunities elsewhere, but he said his decision to join Mr Fabrizio’s vision was a simple one, remarking: “The vision for the business is clear.”
Commenting on the growth already achieved, Mr Fabrizio said he’s “extremely proud” of the group’s founding principals – as well as “all of our people in the business who have decided to join us.
He shared that it had been especially rewarding for him to work with Mr Cirillo, with whom the CEO said he has “enjoyed building up a team, a rent roll, [and] two offices jam-packed with a great team culture”.
“It’s been great for both of us; It’s great to see someone who was a one-man agent now have all that in such a short period.
“It’s moving to see belief from so many people; We are excited, they are happy and the culture just feels right,” he commented.
“That’s the most important goal for us at Melrose and I feel that every day I walk into a Melrose office everyone is motivated, happy and energetic.”
