A Queanbeyan agent returns to the brand where he started his career, launching a new office alongside his siblings.
Vic Srbinovski has rejoined Raine & Horne with the opening of Raine & Horne Queanbeyan/Jerrabomberra alongside his brother Igor Srbinovski and sister Irena Morschel, who serves as office manager.
“For me, it’s a 360-degree change. I started my career with Raine & Horne in sales over 25 years ago, and if all goes to plan, I will end my career with them,” Vic Srbinovski said of the move.
He had previously been working with a Canberra-based group prior to striking out in the family business.
In rejoining the Australian super-brand, Vic Srbinovski commented on some changes he had clocked under the network’s current chairmanship of Angus Raine.
“Angus was working elsewhere when I was with Raine & Horne in 1995. You can see the difference he’s made, particularly with his technology leadership,” he said.
Indeed, the network’s tech capabilities went a long way in luring the trio to join Raine & Horne.
“Raine & Horne’s products are more polished than any products we could get off the shelf,” Vic Srbinovsk said.
Igor Srbinovski agreed: “It helps that Raine & Horne owns a lot of its technology and doesn’t rely on third parties. This enables us to tweak our technology to make instant improvements to support our client’s needs.”
It was also the ways in which the brand hadn’t changed that proved attractive to Vic Srbinovski.
“It is something of a comfort after all these years that Raine & Horne is still owned and operated by the Raine family. The family values and culture of Raine & Horne resonates with me, Igor, and Irena.
“Throw the family dynamic together with the dynamic of systems and technology and joining Raine & Horne is exactly what we’re after,” he added.
Mr Raine said that the family operation felt like a perfect fit for the brand, noting their commitment to the local area.
“Vic, Igor and Irena are not only recognised for their long history in the ACT and Queanbeyan property markets, but they are Canberra through and through, having grown up in the region since the 1980s, attended local schools, supported local sporting organisations and they still all live locally,” he said.
“Igor certainly has his hands full. Apart from starting a new business with his siblings, he became a father for the second time in April and is building a new home in the region. Coincidentally Vic and Irena are also building homes, which underlines the family’s long-term attachment to the Canberra and Queanbeyan regions.”
