A boutique brand’s recent recruit has charted a quick path upward in the ranks, becoming an equity partner just four months after joining the fold.

Sarah Street has been added to Highland’s roster of co-directors, alongside Laura McKay, John Schwarzer and David Smith. It’s a position from which she will now help lead the company’s strategic growth across Sydney.

The brand was impressed with Ms Street’s performance over the course of less than half a year, reporting that she’d set multiple suburb, street and complex sales records in the short period of time she’s called Highland home.

“Since joining us just a few months ago, Sarah has quickly demonstrated precisely why she is so highly regarded in the industry, and we are delighted to announce her appointment to partner in Highland,” said Highland’s chief executive David Highland.

“Sarah’s vision and values are so seamlessly aligned with that of Highlands, and we have every confidence she is the right individual to lead Highland’s continued growth and evolution into the company’s future,” he added.

Ms Street, who started with Highland as co-director of sales and leadership, counts more than 14 years of experience in the banking and finance industry among her credentials. She joined the group from the Commonwealth Bank, having previously served as the big four’s head of NSW and ACT working capital services

At the time, she acknowledged that “it was not an easy decision to make the career leap”, but her quick ascension in the ranks shows the move has paid off.

Ms Street recently ranked among REB’s Top 50 Women in Real Estate, taking out 37th place.

On her part, Ms Street expressed her enthusiasm to play a bigger strategic role.

“I am delighted to be appointed as partner to Highland and I look forward to taking on a leadership role within a company which I feel so genuinely aligned with,” she said.

“I was initially enticed by Highland’s professionality and customer focused reputation, which has quickly proven to be an excellent fit for me, both professionally and personally.”

This recent appointment hints at Highland Group’s ambitions to expand, coming off the back of a big 2021 for the business when it lured eastern suburbs icon Bill Malouf to the fold, and notched more than $2.1 billion in sales.

The network is also approaching a milestone, with plans to celebrate 15 years in business this July.
