A Melbourne agent was looking to move fast in launching her own agency.

When Emily Grainger left her long-time network early in 2022, she didn’t want to miss out on any potential opportunities as she got her new business up and running.

Settling on @realty and its Online Agency Support and Integrated Systems (OASIS) platform, she was drawn to their quick turnaround time and substantial support.

“They delivered everything I needed to get my new agency up and going within a week, thanks to their excellent marketing and support team which designed my logos, branding and website. They pushed everything as quickly as they could in the short amount of time I had,” Ms Grainger said.

She was ultimately able to launch her Pakenham-based office, Grainger Real Estate, in March.

“Anything else I needed, or requested such as business cards, brochures, listing kits, etc. – I received everything in the following weeks,” she added.

She reported the business is so far exceeding her expectations, and with a few staff under her wing, she is already eyeing expansion in the future.

“Business is going far better than I had imagined, and I’m already looking at bringing on more staff to handle the new business,” she said.

Ms Grainger has been in real estate since 2004, starting out as a trainee receptionist at an agency in Pakenham before moving on to senior roles as a sales agent, general manager of a project marketing group, and branch manager.

While she noted that her passion has remained in sales, she’s excited to be building her business into a full-service outfit.

“Property management is another new and exciting service that we can now offer to our clients now and other exciting developments are coming soon,” she foreshadowed.

To propel that growth, she’s relying on the support of her new backer, along with the reputation she’s built up in the Pakenham community.

“My clients and I have become lifelong friends, they are like family to me and people who I sold to five or 10 years ago still contact me today,” she said.

“My business runs on referrals and word of mouth, so I don’t need to prospect like I used to,” she added.

According to @realty chief executive James Taylor, Ms Grainger’s attitude fits right in with the company’s ethos.

“She is a real community champion in Melbourne who thrives on the challenge of listing and selling just as we thrive on the challenge of providing all the support an agent needs to get the job done,” he said.
