A new option from Agency HQ will align with agents looking to keep their independent branding while receiving network support.
The new “Members of Agency HQ” program will offer services such as the running of rent roll operations, administration, HR, tech support and trust accounting, freeing up agents to focus on sales while still operating as independent entities.
Previously, the network’s options allowed for either co-branding of the business or agents joining up under the firm’s umbrella. In this option, members add their Agency HQ affiliation to marketing but retain their own presence.
Leighton Jones of Kenmore in Brisbane’s west is the first agent to take advantage of the program.
Operating as Leighton Jones Real Estate for roughly five years, Mr Jones said he began looking around for more administrative help but felt hesitant to give up his established presence to fit within a franchise.
Seeing that many agents were in a similar position, Agency HQ decided to carve out a new space for these independent operators.
“We were getting feedback from our members and other agents, such as Mr Jones, that they liked our model, however, they had been in business for some time and had created their own strong brand, and some agents had worked for major networks and had built a large personal following,” explained Agency HQ chief executive Mark Morrison.
“In both cases, they wanted to be part of a network where they could build on the back end services, network with agents, but have their branding on the marketing.
“Some agents, like Mr Jones, wanted to keep [their] current branding and add the membership logo, however, we are also happy to help agents create new branding.”
Upon being presented with the new offering, Mr Jones felt it was a good fit for his needs.
“We were able to combine our personal branding, while still enjoying all the tools available to the Agency HQ members, without high overheads,” he said.
Mr Morrison said that Agency HQ is now hard at work behind the scenes.
“We have successfully taken over the running of his rent roll, administration, trust accounting, and he no longer needs an expensive shop front. Not only has this given Leighton a much healthier bottom line, but he is now completely free to do what he does best: list and sell,” Mr Morrison said.
