A Sydney real estate group is celebrating 19 new hires since the start of the year, including a key position to help the network articulate its vision and successes.
Amy Walls has joined the team as the BresicWhitney’s new editorial and media manager, becoming its fifth recruit in June alone.
Ms Walls will apply her 10 years of experience spanning journalism, content and communications to offer editorial support to team members across the sales, leasing and property management divisions. Working closely with chief executive Thomas McGlynn and chief operating officer Will Gosse, she’ll be based in the Darlinghurst office.
A new role for the firm, and one it believes is unique to the Sydney real estate landscape, it’s intended to bolster editorial opportunities for the agency.
But the firm stresses that it’s not only about promoting properties; it’s also about championing its talent, too.
Ms Walls will play a key role in communicating the values that clients can expect from BresicWhitney’s agents, as well as what agents who might be joining the fold stand to gain.
Mr McGlynn stressed there was never a more important time to articulate what sets his team apart.
“Competition for talent is at an all-time high. To continue delivering on and redefining what the best possible real estate experience looks like for our clients, we need to continue attracting the best possible people, who are as passionate as they are value-driven,” he said.
“We have great ambitions for our people, not only in terms of performance, but in terms of being able to help them achieve what ‘success’ looks like for them. We are proud to nurture their individual and unique pathways through development, learning, reflection, flexibility and recognition.”
Ms Walls joins another HQ addition in Lucy Domingue, who returns to a post in talent acquisition at BresicWhiteny after living overseas and starting a family.
Similarly, Alexander Babukhin, a new sales associate to Shannan Whitney, joins the firm with international experience, bringing his background in New Zealand property to Sydney’s market.
According to Mr Babukhin, the job offering at BresicWhitney was enough to motivate him to embark on the life-changing move.
“I had always liked what the BresicWhitney brand represents, but it was my connection with Shannan that informed my decision to move to Sydney. His calm and open leadership style and the strong values that BresicWhitney stands for have made this a very exciting move for me,” he said.
