To meet a foreseen increase in demand, McGrath Crows Nest announced it has welcomed a new recruit into its ranks.
The Sydney-based office revealed that Jason Georges, who brings 10 years of experience overseeing sale transactions in the Lower North Shore area, will join its team as an area specialist.
According to the firm, Mr Georges will concentrate on the burgeoning Willoughby market under the new role.
Peter Chauncy, who helms the coveted McGrath office, said that Mr Georges will be a valuable addition to the team.
“Jason is a very experienced, established agent; one of the rising names in the industry,” said Mr Chauncy. “His average days-on-market sits at 10.”
“Without question, he will be one of the best-performing agents in McGrath’s Lower North Shore network,” he added.
Mr Chauncy explained that the roster expansion is in preparation for their forecasted growth in demand for property in the Willoughby towards the Crows Nest area.
He backed this projection by citing data from Proptrack, which showed that Willoughby’s median house price has climbed 25 per cent to $3.46 million over the last year.
Mr Chauncy also highlighted the area’s offerings that will continue to attract potential homebuyers and investors. “The accessibility to shopping and dining precincts, public and private schools, the city and parks keeps drawing buyers,” he stated.
He further explains that while families occupy 73 per cent of Willoughby’s households according to the latest data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the suburb and the surrounding neighbourhoods continue to appeal to a diverse range of aspiring homebuyers.
“The area is buzzing with interest from executives favouring proximity to the city, downsizers migrating from the Upper North Shore and young families from Mosman, the Eastern suburbs and Inner West who love the parks and easy access to schools,” he added.
Commenting on his new area of assignment, Mr Georges said that “he feels at home” in Willoughby.
“I know Willoughby’s streets, I know the people, I know the businesses and I know the current value of a property at any given phase of the market,” he said.
He shared his working ethos of having deep local market knowledge, which in turn would benefit his clients from any side of a sales transaction.
“I keep in touch with my clients both past and present, sharing significant market updates. They can trust their agent knows everything they need to know about the area; what’s on the market, what’s sold and what’s coming up, ” Mr Georges explained.
He also underlined the importance of leaving a good and lasting impression on any client he encounters. “It’s not always about an immediate sale; it’s about being top of their minds five or 10 years from now when they’re ready to transact.”
