The Limitless Group welcomes a former psychologist to its North Queensland operations, with Melisha du Preez joining RE/MAX Results office in Mackay.
As a former psychologist of 12 years, Ms du Preez will be able to draw on her unique and specialised skill set into the business, according to the director of the Limitless Group, Hayley Van de Ven.
“It is important to have a point of difference more than ever, but also to have the tools and resources in the toolbox to achieve the best possible prices for clients in a rapidly changing market,” she said.
“We are really excited to welcome Melisha to the team because she’s all these and more, and we know she is going to do great things.”
The decision to join RE/MAX arose from a meeting between Ms Van de Ven and Ms du Preez at the Australian Real Estate Conference (AREC) on the Gold Coast earlier this year.
“I am really excited to join the Mackay team,” Ms du Preez said, adding that she had been admiring the brand’s growth over the last few years.
She commented on her delight at being a part of a big network, especially with the tools and resources at her disposal, after eight years as an independent running her own consulting business.
Ms Van de Ven commended Ms du Preez for her quick transition into the team, which has allowed her to hit the ground running with fresh new listings.
“She credits her certainty in joining our team to her many years in the psychology field. She says the change management process when people make the move to RE/MAX makes all the difference in putting agents’ minds at ease,” she said.
Joel Davoren, managing director of RE/MAX Australia, welcomed Ms du Preez to the team, stating: “Melisha is an experienced sales agent with a specialised professional background, which gives her a unique ability to interact with clients and negotiate sales. In her hands, the real estate experience will be good for Mackay buyers and sellers.”
He also added that despite the wider difficulties faced by the wider Australian market, Mackay, which he labelled as a “resilient city”, has seen worse.
“There is still fantastic property with great returns due to its affordability and it has spread some of the impacts affecting other major cities across Australia. With project after project going ahead in the Isaac region and high demand for our coal, the area continues to forge ahead,” he concluded.
