A local Lake Macquarie real estate agency has a new owner — an opportunity for Paul Wrigley to open his third office in the region.

Bill Shepherd Real Estate will now be known as Ray White North Lake Macquarie, with Mr Wrigley noting that the office’s existing team will continue their legacy under the new name.

According to the principal, taking on the new office was the perfect final piece in the puzzle for the north-west Lake Macquarie region, having already established Ray White Toronto 22 years ago and opened a second office at Ray White Wangi Wangi 12 years ago.

“When the opportunity presented itself, I immediately knew that it was time to expand onto this side of the lake and have a physical presence in the region,” Mr Wrigley said, before adding that the group had worked hard to build out its reputation in the area that they “know and love”.

Bringing a whole new team under the hood, the principal indicated that he would be implementing the same customer service strategies into the new business that have proven successful in his established offices.

“We have an iron-clad service guarantee and believe in smart, modern marketing with good old fashioned service.

“We are not your typical real estate business; a lot of agents do what suits them, rather than in the best interest of the seller,” he said.

Looking forward, Mr Wrigley has recruitment in mind, while noting that “our vendors and landlords come first”.

“We will do whatever it takes to service their individual needs,” he said.

He has also acknowledged the power of the Ray White brand in attracting clients from Sydney, given that the region is just 1.5 hours from the city — and classified as a growth corridor to neighbouring Newcastle.

“COVID-19 made people realise that they can get out of the rat race, work from home, and live in a great area for their lifestyle,” he touted.

“Apart from the magnificent lake being our backyard, there is also a real village and community-focused atmosphere here.”

The principal continued: “It is a beautiful place to live, and there is a reason I have been here my whole life. I have raised all three of my children here too.

“Our vendors and landlords come first and we will do whatever it takes to service their individual needs. We will also look at recruiting more great individuals into our new business.”

Weighing in on the announcement, Ray White NSW chief executive Andrew McCulloch has congratulated Mr Wrigley on his latest move, which he said expands on his local legacy.

“We are excited to see where he takes the North Lake Macquarie region,” Mr McCulloch said.

“We congratulate the existing team and look forward to meeting the new up-and-coming professionals that will thrive under the leadership and guidance of the experienced team at Ray White.”
