The Victoria-founded real estate group has added four new offices in the last two months, all under the leadership of business owners in the group.

Now with offices at Macleod, Yarraville, Maryborough and Yarra’s Edge, the network said it was thrilled its existing operators were expressing such confidence in the brand that they had chosen to grow under its umbrella.

Each of the new spaces represents an expansion of the real estate offerings in the communities in which they are located, as they’re entirely new offices rather than takeovers.

Barry Plant chief executive Nigel O’Neil said it showed the new office owners were “prepared to continue to put their future success in our brand”.

He noted that in return, the network was committed to providing any assistance necessary to its franchisees, who take the risk of adding new locations.

“The fact that they already know our systems means that they can very quickly build success. Our brand is well known and respected and that helps and of course, we put considerable resources into helping the offices through any teething issues,” he said.

For David Moxon, who opened the office in Macleod in partnership with Michael Egan, Jay Moxon and Brayden Schmidt, the network has been a steadfast source of support as he expanded into four offices with the brand.

The network characterised his new venture as “a natural extension of the territory he already covers in Bundoora, Mill Park and Greensborough”, which will help grow his market share in an area where Mr Moxon already secures listings.

The Yarra’s edge office also looks to solidify the brand’s presence in a neighbourhood where a local business owner has been seeing more activity.

Daniel Cole, who runs the Docklands office, has seen his area once again start to thrive after COVID-19 closures restricted the travel of students and international business people who were some of the inner-city destination’s main inhabitants.

Mr Cole is making a bold move in the area, recruiting an ex-president of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, Geoff White, to helm his new operation.

Meanwhile, in Yarraville, Jason Allen and his Sunshine team are testing out the waters of working in the wealthy nearby suburb, where they expect the boutique brand to attract great interest.

And finally, Barry Plant Ballarat director Yvonne Jackson is venturing an hour’s north to Maryborough, seeing great potential in the historic goldfields town that has a number of housing developments going in.
