A remote staffing platform with Australian headquarters has officially revealed its entrance into the Australian real estate market.
Cloudstaff, the company behind the new offering, said the move “signals the importance of the real estate sector to Cloudstaff”.
With 5,000 staff across the Philippines, the platform said around 30 per cent of its workforce are already working for Australian real estate companies across a range of roles, including property managers, sales and marketing professionals, accountants, bookkeepers and administrative staff.
According to its statement, the platform “works with real estate businesses nationwide to maximise their potential and grow their bottom line”.
Cloudstaff’s recently appointed chief sales and marketing officer Jennifer Zanich is set to take overall responsibility for Cloudstaff Real Estate.
“The significance of the real estate industry and its role in helping the Australian economy grow was highlighted during the pandemic,” she stated.
“That’s why, for the first time, we’ve consolidated all the different roles and services we can provide to the industry under one umbrella: Cloudstaff Real Estate.”
She indicated that while Cloudstaff had been assisting Australian real estate businesses for the past decade and had already become “one of the largest providers of fully trained property managers in the Australian market”, she indicated that “there’s much more we can do to help Australian property firms implement smarter solutions”.
Cloudstaff’s vice-president of growth Chris McDonald concedes that margins in real estate businesses are tighter than ever — especially with interest rates now rising — making growth difficult.
“It’s difficult to provide great service at a cost that home sellers are willing to pay,” he began.
“While the initial motivation for employing remote staff is often cost savings, the actual outcome is that freeing up sales people to focus on what they’re good at ends up being a huge driver of growth within the business.”
From his perspective, “in buyer-driven markets, good sales people and savvy business owners actually grow their businesses as they look for ways to do things smarter”.
In light of the new division now being a reality, Mr McDonald said Cloudstaff “look[s] forward to working even more closely with real estate companies across Australia”.
According to the company, which provides workforce solutions to clients across accounting and finance, back office, creative and marketing, customer service, engineering and drafting, software development, tech support and software quality assurance, a cornerstone of Cloudstaff Real Estate is “Cloudstaff Academy” — a bespoke training centre that aims to ensure all staff are industry-ready and able to contribute to a business from day one.
