The real estate brand continues the growth of its presence in the Sunshine State with its latest outfit located in Warner, north-west of Brisbane.
Previously known as Ward Real Estate, Stone Real Estate Warner is a family business that has operated for seven years, initially as a part of a franchise before spending the last two years independently.
Run by owners John and Sue Ward, their wider team boasts over 75 years of industry experience.
Sharing their decision for making the switch, Mr Ward said: “As with all small businesses, you’re constantly busy keeping up with new software, new regulations, constant changes to social media, the list is endless. At the end of the day the core thing you want to be able to do in a real estate business is help people buy and sell houses and manage rental properties for owners and tenants to the best of your abilities, using the best systems and processes available.”
He added that the business knew they needed to “make a change that would make our business better and stronger, not just for us but for all our clients also”.
Despite being contacted by several real estate brands, Mr and Mrs Ward made the decision to move under the Stone umbrella because it was an agency that “put its people first”, as well as one that boasts strong back-end support and technology.
“We knew that this was a franchise that would make a difference to our business, which in turn meant our clients would receive a better experience. Something we always strive for,” he said.
Warner, located in the Pine Rivers district, has experienced enormous growth over the past two years, which has resulted in the median sale price in the area rising from $505,000 to $867,000 in August 2022.
Mr Ward detailed that this growth wasn’t isolated as “similar growth has occurred to most of the surrounding suburbs also, this combined with several new developments provides ample opportunity for both rental and sales growth”.
His parting message was one of excitement for “what the next year holds for us and Stone Real Estate Warner”.
Scott Kelly, founding partner at Stone Real Estate Queensland, explained how the agency’s identification of thriving and ambitious local businesses, such as Ward Real Estate, is a core component of its growth strategy before expressing the group’s pleasure at the arrival of Mr and Mrs Ward to Stone.
His sentiments were shared by Stone Real Estate head of franchise Luke Cameron, who concluded: “It’s fantastic to see that the tech capabilities that we provide to our franchises remains a key reason why existing businesses choose to join Stone. We look forward to helping John and Sue take their fantastic operation to new heights.”
Stone Warner becomes the brand’s eighth office in Queensland, and the second to open this month, following Stone Southport.
