The business has expanded its presence in the Greater Sydney market by opening its third office in Plumpton.
“Plumpton Marketplace has no other real estate agency in there and it is a one stop shopping centre for many, offering Woolworths, Big W, hairdressers, Specsavers, medical centre, chemist, banking and post office and other speciality stores,” explained Kelly McKenzie, senior property manager and business owner.
The real estate firm Harcourts is of the opinion that a country as linguistically diverse as Australia requires a real estate team that can communicate in multiple languages.
“Our number one priority is to make our client comfortable regardless of nationality,” continued Ms McKenzie.
In Plumpton (NSW), the 2021 census found that only 40.5 per cent of the population spoke English at home exclusively. Other languages spoken at home include Arabic (3.4 per cent), Filipino (4.5 per cent), Urdu (6.6 per cent), and Hindi (6.4 per cent). Filipino was spoken by 10.9 per cent of pollsters.
The new office will be staffed by real estate agents who are proficient in English, Arabic, Spanish, Filipino, Tongan, Maltese, Polish, and Portuguese.
Marcelo Fiore, sales manager/director and business owner, and Mazen Abu Duhou, property development manager and business owner, are two members of the team who have previously worked in the centre and are well-known in the area.
Mr Fiore, who started his career in Plumpton 14 years ago, touted that the team have lived locally: “Our kids go to local schools. Coming back — it’s just natural.”
With the business sponsoring a number of local teams and participating in numerous community events, the group’s leaders have indicated they are always willing to assist in any way they can.
Weighing in on the newest office addition, Harcourts NSW/ACT chief executive Katrina Tarrant shared that she is “overjoyed to welcome this third powerhouse to the Harcourts Your Place family”.
“Complete with a stunning state of the art fit out, this office epitomises excellence and it is wonderful to see such high calibre internal growth of our network,” she concluded.
