An NSW Mid North Coast agency group has acquired two new Yamba shopfronts as it aims to increase its market share across the region.

Elders Lifestyle Group has revealed that the new outposts expand out its business operations from 10 offices to 12 offices.

Vikki Seekamp from Elders Yamba and Denise Gillies from Yamba Iluka Real Estate will be joining the growing team, with Elders Lifestyle Group chief executive David Gray sharing that “both owners are really excited; they’re going to be a part of the transition”.

“We really respect the legacy of the former owner,” the CEO said about the procurement process, which sees the group “blend the old and the new really well”.

With acquisition a major contributor to the group’s growth to date, Mr Gray explained how “it’s actually a procedure inside our business which makes the transition really easy”.

“We’ve now got a formula, so whenever we purchase, it’s like, ‘bang, A-B-C-D,’ let’s get it done,” he said.

As the driving force behind the original Elders Lifestyle Group agency in Port Macquarie, Mr Gray has revealed that the opportunities that abound across the region are one of the reasons he initially left Sydney, divulging that over the next 10 years, he sees “a lot of growth still in that area”.

And he’s drawing on two decades of metropolitan experience to do so. In just two years, the group has grown to a 130-plus staff, coinciding with steady gains in the property markets across NSW more broadly.

The CEO hopes that the newest outposts will give the business a stronger presence across northern NSW.

And while demand along the coast will eventually stabilise, he is ready to take advantage of the arising opportunities created by rising housing prices and cost of living in metropolitan areas, which means an increasing number of Sydney residents are leaving the city in search of new residential options.

I’ve been watching that marketplace[s] really dynamic growth. It’s really accelerated, especially through that COVID period,” he said.

And even with a dozen offices under Elders’ belt, the CEO said the group has no plans of slowing down its expansion.

“Our long-term vision is to have a strong, active marketplace from the Mid North Coast up to Ballina,” he shared.

Moving forward, future goals for the agency will be to “fill in those gaps” as they continue to broaden the scope of their franchises.
