The national group is strengthening its executive slate with several new senior appointments.

LJ Hooker announced that its strategic growth team will be bolstered by a set of state managers who will be actively involved in expanding the network through the metropolitan and regional areas.

Heading this specialist team will be  Aaron Booth, who was recently named as head of strategic growth.

Mr Booth is part of a team headed by the recently appointed general manager of network Stephen Mutton,  whose role encompasses leadership of the growth and performance of both the LJ Hooker and Atlas by LJ Hooker networks.

Building a team that is laser-focused on expansion comes at a time when there has been increasing demand for agencies to join the brand, according to Mr Mutton.

He noted that the surge in interest from potential franchise partners comes at a time when the brand is gearing up for its  2028 centenary.

“As we head towards this significant milestone, we want to ensure that LJ Hooker is in a position of strength, so we can leverage our scale and take the brand into the next century,” Mr Mutton said.

“LJ Hooker is a national network, and we are very focused on investing and growing in the West. It is still a very affordable market and attracting a lot of investors from the Eastern States, so there is a prime opportunity for us to further expand,” he explained.

The new team of state managers are set to provide support for Mr Mutton’s leadership initiatives, and will be responsible for partnering with business owners, sales agents, property managers and support staff.

Andrew Woodley-Page was appointed as the state manager for Western Australia, bringing with him a “wealth of experience” after working in the state’s commercial property sector for more than 20 years.

“Andrew has been involved in some of the largest transactions in the Perth commercial market – he understands business, numbers and the upper-end transactional market. We know that his expertise and knowledge will benefit our business owners and their teams in Western Australia,” Mr Mutton stated.

Meanwhile, Kim Greenan-who joined the LJ Hooker Group earlier this year as the brand’s strategic growth manager - has been named as the state manager for NSW/ACT.

Under her new role, Ms Greenan will  assist in opening new offices and supporting existing ones in her states of responsibility, according to the network.

As part of its overall strategy to bolster its leadership team and ensure that no key growth areas become blindspots, LJ Hooker also announced that Scott Carter joined the network regional growth manager for mid-north coast following his stint in the same role under First National.

According to the network, Mr Carter will be responsible for fostering and developing relationships with existing offices, as well as providing guidance when creating business plans and building additional training frameworks.

Aside from his experience working in a similar role, Mr Carter has a diverse background in other fields which includes agronomy, business, property, and strata management.

“My own experiences mean I understand the challenges faced by regional offices and can provide advice and coaching on how to overcome them.

“As we have seen throughout Covid, there is a lot more movement between the city and country areas and with that comes an expected level of service,” ” Mr Carter said.

Amid changing market conditions, Mr Mutton argued that  real estate agencies need to be able to access additional assistance, upskilling and leadership - an edge that he believes the network possesses over other brands.

By having the “right people” in the job to guide offices towards attaining market share growth and optimising their positions in the current market, Mr Mutton stated that demand for their brand has significantly increased.
