Having recently lost her 18-month battle with cervical cancer, Lia Storer’s legacy will live on, thanks to the support of her colleagues.
A beloved member of her local sale community and a mother to three children, Coronis Victoria has shared that the group has taken steps to continue the legacy of the true “Coronian”, who kicked off the first Victorian Coronis office back in July 2020.
Having spent more than two decades within the industry, Ms Storer was crowned REB’s Property Manager of the Year – Regional at the REB Awards 2021.
In the wake of her passing, Coronis Victoria indicated that National Property Management Institute director David Woolfall had stepped in to assist Ms Storer’s parents, Neville and Janet, in managing the property management portfolio and continuing the day-to-day operations of the business while actively seeking buyers “to ensure Lia’s legacy is maintained throughout the La Trobe market”.
Speaking of the devastating loss of the business owner, Coronis Victoria directors Adam Flynn and Stan Coolegem said how important it’s been to the team for them to help Ms Storer’s family through these next steps.
“Lia was an icon of the real estate industry, and at Coronis, her absence is already greatly felt. Given her tragic and sudden passing, we wanted to do all we could to help and have now arranged a purchase of the business,” the duo stated.
“It is our intention to now grow the business into the one that Lia always envisioned, ensuring her legacy will live on in the La Trobe market for many, many years to come.”
According to a statement from the group, the official settlement and changeover will take place in approximately 30 days. Proceeds of the sale will go to Ms Storer’s three children, aged 18, 16 and 5.
