After a decade of owning his own business, the Queensland agent is taking a step back — by diving straight into a new opportunity.

The former head of Ray White Tingalpa has revealed that he is joining the team at Harcourts Inner East in search of a more balanced family life.

He explains: “I was drawn to Harcourts Inner East for their positive and successful sales and property management team, a balanced management style and a family-orientated business.”

He acknowledges the decision “was not made lightly — with a range of emotions, along with an extensive amount of due diligence with regard to the best interests of my valued clients”.

Having spent 13 years in the industry, Mr Auer has also been recognised by Harcourts for his former career in IT services and sales — as well as his status as an “accomplished renovator”.

“My dad Noel was a builder, and we spent a lot of time together on building sites. I learnt many handyman skills over the years, giving me the practical background to ensure my real estate advice to clients is backed by hands-on experience,” he shared.

Harcourts Queensland chief executive Mitch Peereboom said Mr Auer’s move into the group is “a massive coup for us”.

“Scott is the market-leading agent in Tingalpa, and we are thrilled to welcome him and his team to the group,” he stated.

Mr Auer will continue to sell throughout the bayside suburbs of Tingalpa, Belmont, Hemmant, and adjoining suburbs alongside his sales associate, Tom Duffy.

“He has a remarkable reputation, and we could not be prouder that he has chosen to join forces with the ever-growing team at Harcourts Inner East,” Mr Peereboom shared.

As for Mr Auer, the new role will see him maintain his commitment to doing the best for both his clients and the local community.

As well as professing himself as a proud supporter of Tingalpa State School, he affirmed his focus on “ensuring all aspects of the real estate experience is transparent, efficient, and meets or exceeds expectations”.
