A network veteran of over three decades has opened the brand's fourth office in the popular Victorian coastal location.
Alongside outfits at Frankston, Mornington, Rosebud, Barry Plant Dromana strengthened the network's ranks on the Peninsula.
Headed up by Terry Burgoyne, owner of agency’s Blackburn office for 32 years, the office’s opening was birthed from Mr Burgoyne’s own lifestyle move to the region.
Having grown over the last decade from a sleepy holiday town “with very few long-term residents” Mr Burgoyne explained that “we’re finding more and more people are looking to make the area their permanent home.”
“Now more people can work from home at least a few days a week and with Peninsula Link and major freeways, the commute to the city is just over an hour,” he added.
Mr Burgoyne has assembled a strong team focused on providing a personal and professional service to the community, which has a wide collection and retail and hospitality offerings to visitors and prospective homebuyers.
Properties in the small coastal town ranged from traditional weatherboard homes to multi-million-dollar waterfront mansions.
Barry Plant Group chief executive officer, Mike McCarthy – who took on his new role at the beginning of November when Nigel O’Neil relinquished his role - welcomed the new office, adding the network’s “excited to be extending our reach into this beautiful region with a highly respected and experienced local.”
“Terry is a great agent with a genuine love of the industry and I know this new office will be a great success,” he concluded.
Dromana becomes the fifth Barry Plant office opened this year following a two-month spree during the middle of the year which resulted in the Victorian-based network advancing its footprint in Macleod, Maryborough, Yarraville, and Yarra’s Edge, with the latter led by former Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) president, Geoff White.
In addition to office openings, 2022 also saw Barry Plant establish the Barry Plant Real Estate Training institute in October which ‘met all the requirements of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to operate as a registered training institution.’
