Christmas has come early for the Obrien network, having welcomed two new regional Victorian offices to the fold.

Regional director Peter Clark has revealed the agency group has had two new additions since October; one in Torquay and the other in Alexandra.

The Torquay office, located at Shop 9, 12 Gilbert Street, has been touted by the network as a “start-up” — and is being helmed by local agent Nick Kearsey and heavyweight Cameron Edgoose.

According to Obrien, the duo “combine to make an elite team with both local knowledge and networks, along with strong inner-Melbourne connections and clientele”.

For Mr Kearsey, “the decision to start up under the Obrien Network was an easy one”.

Crediting the network’s high standards, he said that Obrien’s “relentless pursuit for the growth of its members, their teams, staff and their clients was undeniable”.

He also shared: “I have not met a group more passionate about developing their teams to ensure class-leading service and results for their [our] clients.”

Mr Edgoose believes the link between Melbourne and Torquay is “as strong as ever”, highlighting that “many people either now look to reside and commute from the beachside town or utilise the easy commute for their weekender and holiday retreat”.

Further to the entrance of Obrien Real Estate into Torquay, Mr Clark has lauded the alliance of Renee Ward with the network.

The owner and director of a formerly independent office in Alexandra, Ms Ward, has rebranded her office under the Obrien banner effective 1 December 2022.

Calling it “somewhat nostalgic” to have Ms Ward operating within the network, Obrien has noted it as “the first time an Obrien office has occurred in Alexandra”.

Despite this, the area still has strong familial links with Obrien Real Estate, given it is the “long-time family hometown” of co-founder and corporate director Dean O’Brien.

Ms Ward reports having known Mr O’Brien previously — and has shared an affiliation with the network for “some time”.

Speaking of her decision to rebrand, Ms Ward said she is “excited to align with a network that not only has such rich ties to this area, but the support it offers as a director of a small business”.

Pointing to the systems, tech, training and collaborative culture, she said it was “so exciting”.

“It will not only enable our team to offer a better experience for our clients but help us stay ahead of the curve in this ever-changing market,” she said.

She’s not the only one to consider the Obrien network’s growth as exciting, with Dean O’Brien sharing that he is “delighted to see the continued growth of the network”.

“Given the group’s strong roots, the regional expansion under guidance of regional director Peter Clark is extremely exciting,” he concluded.
