The network has signalled its intent for the new year with the appointment of a new franchise development manager.
Chris Hill, who has spent several career stints at Barry Plant Group, assumes the role with the primary objective of expanding coaching and business support across the brand’s 70 offices.
He outlined his goal of making the brand more “sticky” for its members, a place where “upcoming agents [can] be in no doubt that their career will be nurtured [and] that they’ll be part of a highly supportive cadre”.
Mr Hill affirmed his desire for agents to also “have fun along the way”.
He acknowledged: “Real estate is a tough gig and the turnover in our industry is testimony to this.”
“While recruiting new agents and offices to the brand, we’ll also be focused on developing the next generation of leaders within the group through a new networking and mentoring program due to be launched shortly.”
His appointment follows that of Lisa Pennell, who joined the agency late in November as chief operations officer (COO), who labelled Mr Hill “the perfect package of youth, energy, and experience”.
Also noting his history at the Barry Plant Group, which stretches back almost a decade, she added that “he knows the challenges that real estate throws up but also understands the values and culture that Barry Plant is so well known for”.
From her perspective, “Chris has been a top sales consultant, held sales manager roles and has also been a business director. He has the on-ground experience of what it takes to not only be successful as an individual agent but to build a robust business.”
“I’m incredibly excited to have Chris join our team and look forward to the growth journey we are embarking on together,” she concluded.
