The ASX-listed company has revealed a brand-new general manager of sales across Victoria and Tasmania.
Sally O’Connell, a former executive with Macquarie Bank, will be taking on the role, with Matt Lahood calling her “an outstanding professional with an exceptional understanding of real estate”.
The company’s chief executive of real estate said: “Sally brings a wealth of real estate and financial services experience, and we believe that she is the right person to tackle our ambitious growth targets.”
He outlined that as well as powering growth, “her role will be to focus on coaching, mentoring and training our agents”.
Ms O’Connell herself said she is looking forward “to further strengthening” The Agency’s stronghold across both states, and she will be based in The Agency’s offices in Melbourne.
Set to report to Mr Lahood, she shared: “[I] believe in the ability to effectively leverage our national network of agents.”
The group has lauded Ms O’Connell’s strong background in the real estate space, coupled with her experience in banking and financial services. Flagging her most recent role as Macquarie Bank’s segment head of real estate, it was acknowledged that she worked with more than 2,000 residential agencies and serviced 400 commercial agencies.
She also touts experience in residential sales, having spent more than five years at Jellis Craig and Marshall White.
