The national real estate giant has announced the latest addition to the network in the NSW capital’s north-west corridor.

McGrath Beecroft will be headed by local real estate professionals Nick Bedford and Belinda Hill, who, along with their team of eight from Belle Property Beecroft, will help McGrath grow its presence in what McGrath is calling one of Sydney’s most important markets.

Mr Bedford has garnered extensive experience and local knowledge throughout his 15-year tenure working in the northern districts market, while Ms Hill is a third-generation Cheltenham resident with a deep understanding of the local property market.

The Beecroft outfit will focus on its namesake suburb, in addition to Cheltenham, Cherrybrook, and Pennant Hills, all family-orientated areas, which Mr Bedford said possess a “neighbourhood feel, charming village life, and sense of community”.

Christopher Mourd, McGrath’s head of franchise, said the agency “has enjoyed great success in the Epping/Beecroft region over the past two decades”. He added: “The addition of the Beecroft office with such experienced operators as Nick and Belinda is a crucial enhancement for us to service our clients in what we see as one of the most dynamic markets in the north-west region of Sydney.”

Ratifying his belief that the corridor is one of the city’s most important is an announcement last month from the NSW Department of Planning, which outlined plans being a stop closer to create a modern green village in Cherrybrook and West Pennant Hills — a project creating the foundations for new homes, parks, and retail spaces.

Additionally, Mr Mourd said Cherrybrook Station Precinct’s new planning package would add important infrastructure to the region.

Adding to the area’s appeal, Mr Bedford explained individuals need to commute to Sydney’s central business district for work or leisure can do so seamlessly, given the region’s “proximity to the M2 or the train station connecting to the CBD in one direction, or Hornsby and the Central Coast in the other direction,” a factor he labelled as “a real drawcard”.

“In the months leading up to Christmas, properties in the $4–6 million range were transacting off-market to capture a small pool of buyers. More broadly, we are seeing popularity in auction campaigns for the upcoming market,” he added.

The pair are “extremely excited and energised by joining McGrath”, according to Ms Hill, who concluded: “We will be working closely with the already established Epping team, which we regard as a value-add.”
