Stone Real Estate has bolstered its Crows Nest office with the addition of a leading agent specialising in Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

Justin Ferguson joins the team with 23 years of real estate experience selling and buying real estate in the North Shore suburb of Cammeray and having sold over 1,000 properties valued at over a billion dollars.

The network highlighted Mr Ferguson’s several accolades throughout his career, having been named Australia’s Top Sales Person of the Year on two occasions as well as being a three-time finalist in the REI Small Business of the Year awards.

With his extensive run in the industry, Mr Ferguson’s expertise in the real estate industry extends beyond just selling homes, according to Stone.

He established his own successful real estate agency in 1998 and later sold it to a competitor in 2018. Notably, Mr Ferguson also served as the North Shore divisional manager for the REI.

The newly recruited agent said he looks forward to aligning with an “innovative and forward-thinking brand” like Stone.

He explained that the brand appealed to him due to its progressive nature and “focus on adding value to the client” through its different offerings, including boutique personal service, up-to-date technology and innovative marketing tools.

“I was also very impressed with the principals and how they run the business and nurture their staff,” he added.

Stone Real Estate partner and licensee at Stone Crows Nest and Greenwich, Marshall Cobb, stated that Mr Ferguson’s “hyper-local” focus on Cammeray helps him deliver results that “other agents in the area can’t match”.

“We needed an experienced and well-connected agent in that very important marketplace in Cammeray, and Justin knows every house in every street, along with most of the residents in the area,” he stated.

Mr Cobb highlighted that Mr Ferguson fits “right into the mould” of his vision of building a team comprising “experienced, honest, transparent and trustworthy individuals”.

“His past clients are extremely loyal and value his advice,” he added.

Stone Real Estate head of franchise Luke Cameron lauded the addition of a “genuine legend of the industry in Sydney, and a true icon of the North Shore” to the Crows Nest team.

“[Mr Ferguson’s] track record and long, long list of satisfied clients speaks for itself and we are privileged to have him join the Stone family. He will undoubtedly strengthen our presence and proposition in the area,” he stated.

For Mr Ferguson, his strong track record can be credited to several factors, including having strong local knowledge of the area one is operating in.

“I understand and know the different market pockets in the area, which is important when advising clients and dealing with buyers.

Cammeray is a beautiful peninsula suburb. After 25 years, there is nothing I don’t know about the Cammeray market. I am the Cammeray specialist and have sold more property in the area than any other agent.”

He also underlined the importance of looking after clients and “being fair” in order to establish strong and long-standing business relationships.

“I understand what it takes to build a business from scratch and continue to compete against some of the best agents in the country. I believe this will assist in mentoring younger staff and assist with helping the business grow,” he stated.
