The Victorian agency has welcomed the arrival of a former Harcourts man to lead the group.
Buxton has appointed Marcus Williams as its new chief executive officer, with the agency shoehorning him in to replace former CEO, Nathan Jones, who earlier this month took the top job at Kay & Burton.
Mr Williams’ career includes a quarter of a century in senior leadership positions across companies at home in Australia and abroad in the United Kingdom, including a decade-long tenure at Harcourts, where he held chief executive roles at Mortgage Express and NAI. He was also formerly Victoria and Tasmania CEO at Ray White.
He stated he is “thrilled to be working with Buxton”, an agency he claims possesses a sturdy reputation and a “commitment to building long-term and valued relationships.”
A statement from Buxton celebrated Mr Williams’ “strong leadership and strategic planning expertise, franchise development experience, energy and reputation”.
The brand went on to describe him as an “exceptional fit” for the organisation as it moves to expand its profile in the coming years.
Throughout his extensive career, he has nurtured extensive relationships throughout the real estate and financial services industries.
He commended the “iconic” brand for having “driven professionals who are exceptionally knowledgeable on their local market, highly focused, and endeavour to provide a world-class experience.”
Buxton has a wide-ranging presence across metropolitan and regional Victoria, including a recently opened office at Wheelers Hill.
