The brand’s Prosper program, initially offered to property managers, is now available for access by all REA Group customers.

Developed with experts at AP Psychology, the program has increased its offering to include residential, commercial, and developer customers.

REA Group made the decision to extend the offering as “research shows many property professionals identify mental health issues and managing stress as the most difficult aspects of the job,” according to the group’s general manager, customer experience and marketing, Amy Read.

“Shifting consumer expectations and market challenges put further pressure on our customers, and we want to help,” she added.

A complimentary online wellbeing centre, Prosper, lauds itself as offering users a suite of tools and resources aimed at supporting, empowering, and equipping real estate practitioners with the skills to confidently overcome their day-to-day challenges.

Boosted by a growing library of live and on-demand content, REA Group revealed that the expanded reach of the program occurs at a time when an additional range of new resources from workplace wellbeing and performance experts are launched on the platform.

Ms Read explained that Prosper “is designed to help property professionals handle difficult moments with their customers while protecting their mental health.”

“At REA Group, we want to get behind our customers and the property industry,” she said.

Outlining how real estate professionals “are not immune to challenging interactions and are at times exposed to unreasonable and inappropriate behaviour from their own customers,” she detailed, “this new content is intended to help empower individuals to speak up and de-escalate unreasonable behaviour where required while maintaining their relationships.”

Extending its wellbeing offerings to encompass all real estate practitioner clients follows a successful 2022 for the REA Group regarding its workplace culture and inclusion.

Last August, the organisation was ranked the fourth best Australian large company (exceeding 1,000 employees) for workplace culture in Australia’s Best Workplaces ranking, a position that matched its performance from 2021.

At the time, group chief executive Owen Wilson stated, “We want our people to love what they do and to connect with our purpose — to change the way the world experiences property.”

One month later, REA Group was recognised as one of the 30 Australian companies most accommodating to women with a commitment to workplace equity as it featured on the Best Workplaces for Women List, an achievement Mr Wilson labelled as both pleasing and prideful.
