Carla Zampatti’s private Woollahra Maison will play host to an exclusive International Women’s Day event for the real estate profession.

The LJ Hooker Group is behind the event, which aims to “recognise and celebrate the contributions and achievements of women across the group’s network, the industry and notable guests.”

According to Christine Mikhael, LJ Hooker Group CEO, “It’s a special honour for the LJ Hooker Group to be exclusively invited into Carla’s private home to commemorate International Women’s Day.”

Expressing hopes that the event will provide valuable insights and peer connection opportunities for attendees to help them achieve their goals, she explained how the collaboration with Carla Zampatti “reflects the joint commitment of two iconic Australian brands to gender equality and inclusivity.”

“We’re excited to host this event and proud to be collaborating with the Carla Zampatti team and brand, to support and applaud the outstanding accomplishments of women in our industry,” she said.

The network has revealed that Kellie Hush, senior adviser and ambassador to the Carla Zampatti brand, will facilitate insightful conversations with Ms Mikhael to “enthuse others in fulfilling their potential and supporting the principles of International Women’s Day”, noting the call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

With the event supported by LJ Hooker Assist and Propps, Ms Mikhael also shared that network guests would gain key takeaways for personal and professional growth — in addition to having access to “plenty” of networking opportunities.

“They will also be fortunate to view Carla Zampatti’s latest range and have the chance to receive wardrobe and styling advice from the team.”

The CEO acknowledged that “Carla Zampatti has been at the forefront of the Australian fashion industry for more than 55 years and is one of the nation’s most trusted brands — as is the LJ Hooker Group, pioneering the real estate industry for 94 years.

“Both iconic Australian brands have had a profound impact on their sectors and were founded by leaders who transcended generations,” she shared.

“Carla dedicated her life to the advancement of strong, successful and independent women, and it was known that she always loved it when a woman succeeded, especially when it was in roles traditionally held by men,” Ms Mikhael continued.

Also highlighting that the introduction of franchising back in 1967 by LJ Hooker Group founder Sir Leslie Hooker has positively supported national GDP and job creation, she noted that those advancements mean 60 per cent of LJ Hooker Group’s people now comprise women “who are setting high benchmarks and leading the way for others in our industry.”

It’s part of a broader push by Ms Mikhael and the LJ Hooker team to motivate “not just the extraordinary professionals that make up our group, but also the wider industry to keep looking to what can be collectively achieved in the years ahead.”

This push even saw the CEO sit down with Melissa Doyle to talk about her background in real estate, as well as her future plans for the group as part of the business’s new strategy, LJH100.
