Two established Victorian agents have decided to strike out on their own with the launch of their own brand.

On 13 March, Leman Djamal and Michael Abbas opened L&M Property Co, in partnership with Agents’Agency.

The duo’s newly launched business will service the northern suburbs of Melbourne, including Greenvale, Craigieburn, Mickleham, Meadow Heights, Roxburgh Park, Westmeadows and Gladstone Park, as they look to “bring a new level of real estate expertise” to the burgeoning area.

Mr Abbas said the new outfit is in a particularly unique position to “carve out a niche” as the lone local agency in Greenvale, which he described as an “underserviced” area.

“Our aim is to not only be their go-to agency when it comes to selling their greatest assets, but also to build relationships with the whole community,” he stated.

Both leaders of the new company have over a decade of experience in the industry, having previously worked together for five years. The new business partners tout sharing the same customer-centric approach, which they are excited to bring to their new venture.

They also expressed enthusiasm regarding the launch of their business, particularly their satisfaction with the incorporation of their initials into the agency’s name.

“It’s good to have our names on the brand. It’s ours; we’re invested in it and we’re excited to provide a level of service that will allow us to take on the best agents in the area,” Mr Abbas explained.

Despite the firm seemingly hitting the ground running with an overarching vision in sight, they shared that the decision to set up their own business came with specific considerations.

“We wanted to do our own thing, but wanted a structure that offered support,” Ms Djamal said.

Mr Abbas recalled that they explored a few partnership options that would allow them to focus on what they do best, which is listing and selling properties, while starting and scaling their own boutique brand.

The duo eventually found their desired set-up after touching base with Agents’Agency founders, Manos and Maria Findikakis.

“We just felt we’ve got to do this, and the time is now,” Ms Djamal stated.

After aligning with the network, the duo revealed that the business was launched in just three weeks.

The business leaders are now focusing on growing their client base and building their reputation as trusted real estate advisers for buyers and sellers by operating on the philosophy of “looking after people”.

“We set goals, we achieve them and we want the best for people,” Mr Abbas stated.
