The network has picked up a high-performing principal in Sydney’s south west.

HM Tanvir has been named as joining the brand, from Century 21.

Raine & Horne Leumeah has been labelled by the group as operating in the “rapidly expanding south west”.

Mr Tanvir doesn’t expect the uncertainty surrounding many suburbs across the country to have an impact on his local area, noting that people across the region would continue to buy and sell real estate regardless of the market cycles.

“The market is the market, and some people need to upsize, downsize, or buy a first home because of changing circumstances, whether it’s a retirement or a growing family,” he commented.

“As for interest rates, it seems there will be two more hikes, and people are factoring that into their plans.

“In Minto and Leumeah, I feel that the market will settle down, and people will get on with their real estate plans. It will be a real market that will be bubble-free.”

With the rebrand effective this week (27 March), Mr Tanvir is taking nine listings under the new banner.

Raine & Horne has lauded the “long-term sales specialist” for his tertiary qualification in commerce, as well as his experience working across major multinational brands both in Australia and his homeland of Bangladesh.

He also brings small business experience from a stint spent as a restauranteur — a career he acknowledges wasn’t for him.

“I shifted to real estate because I wanted a career where I wasn’t deskbound and with my extensive sales. In 2010, I bought several investment properties in the south-western region of Sydney region and sold them for a decent profit a few years later.

“I bought two more and thought that with my sales expertise honed within other industries, I could make a difference as a real estate agent, and in 2015, I launched an office.”

For Mr Tanvir, the move to Raine & Horne allows him “to market where I am well known”.

Touting the network’s support as “very resourceful”, he also credits the brand’s 140-year legacy as “a factor in the trust value proposition my new group brings to the Leumeah and Minto markets.”

“Supporting the local community is about giving back to the people who support us. This is where the importance of trust comes in,” he shared.

“Trust is important because in my region, a large cross-section of the community here have migrated to Australia from South Asia, and 50 per cent of these people have arrived here over the last two decades.

“Many have bought a first home in this period, and it’s important they work with someone they trust.”

He also sees supporting the community as a massive priority: “We support the local community mosque in Minto as well as a significant financial contribution in 2022 to the local Nepalese community to aid some of their community events. I also support Macquarie Fields Public School.”
