The network’s growth plan has been boosted by three key hires described as demonstrating the brand’s “willingness to invest in the resources real estate businesses need to succeed long-term.”
Laing+Simmons welcomes Karen Hardy, who arrives as the brand’s franchise growth manager, Michelle Jones, the new centralised agent support manager, and Badwey Sarkis, a social media and marketing coordinator.
Ms Hardy is tasked with expanding the company’s resources to attract the best operator at all levels into the network and help them establish a strong business for the future, and has been described as “understanding what it takes to operate a successful real estate office,” by group chief executive officer, Leanne Pilkington.
A previous business owner under the Laing+Simmons umbrella, Ms Hardy has been praised for knowing “what principals and their teams need in terms of head office support, and importantly, she knows our brand and its point of difference.”
As the network gears up to welcome more new offices in the short-term future, Ms Pilkington added “Karen and the team will be busy in ensuring the new members of the Laing+Simmons family hit the ground running.”
An experienced agent, Ms Jones has been tasked by the brand to undertake the centralised agent support role, which has been described as an exciting new initiative trialled by the brand.
Possessing extensive industry experience, Ms Pilkington explained, “She not only understands the type of support agents need to best serve their customers, but also the urgency with which that critical support must be provided.”
Mr Sarkis, noted as a “highly skilled communicator and important resource” by the network executive, will focus on ensuring agents are able to engage better with customers and clients.
“For our teams across the state to be able to leverage Badwey’s ability to connect with audiences with engaging content will be a key advantage in the strong competition for eyeballs and clicks,” Ms Pilkington said.
The trio of corporate appointments fits within the brand’s wider focus of creating real estate businesses that are successful in the long-term, especially in the currently challenging and competitive industry climate.
In addition to its latest arrivals, Laing+Simmons have kicked off the new year with new outposts in Balmain, Coogee/Randwick, and the rapidly growing strategic Box Hill/Rouse Hill market.
