The agent said the milestone offered a chance to reflect on the number of people she’d helped in their property journey over the years.
Rosemary Auricchio joined LJ Hooker West Lakes/Henley Beach in 2006 and has been a consistent high-volume performer, averaging roughly 117 properties per year over that period.
While she was aware of her steady sales pace, the agent said the significant number still crept up on her.
“It was a little overwhelming when I found out the number of sales I had made, it made me think about how many people I have been able to help during that time,” she said.
“There are so many stories behind why people buy or sell a property. We always try to be the breath of fresh air or act like their guardian angel helping where we can to enable them to move on to the next stage of their life,” she added.
LJ Hooker state manager for South Australia and Western Australia, Bill Dimou, congratulated Ms Auricchio on the huge achievement, calling it a testament to her “commitment and dedication as well as her focus on customer service”.
“There is no secret formula to winning listings except for delivering excellent customer service and Rosemary has a very special way of dealing with buyers and sellers. She works very hard and is a fantastic asset to our network,” Mr Dimou added.
Though Ms Auricchio started her real estate career with LJ Hooker Newport in Sydney, the tally is counted from her time joining the West Lakes/Henley Beach team, meaning that in reality she has even more sales to her name.
On the event of this milestone, she reflected on a number of memorable sales, which included a West Lakes home that was used as a location for an Australian movie starring Natalie Imbruglia, and one customer who purchased their first property — an apartment — with Ms Auricchio many years ago, to whom she recently sold what was described as their “forever home”.
“It is important in real estate to remember why you do this job, and it is not about me; it’s about what we can do for our clients,” she said.
“It is the biggest privilege for someone to give you the keys to their home and allow you to sell it; it is something I take very seriously. I still have a lot of fire in the belly, so I will definitely keep going, doing a job that I absolutely love.”
