REB is delighted to reveal its Top 50 Agents Western Australia 2023 ranking for the third consecutive year.

The annual state-based Top 50 Agents Western Australia ranking and associated report single out those agents who achieved stellar numbers during the 2022 calendar year and contributed to setting strong professional performance standards in Australia.

At its heart, the ranking champions agents who have adopted a local approach and gone above and beyond for their clients.

The ranking and report have been published by Real Estate Business (REB), produced jointly with parent company Momentum Media, and powered by research arm Momentum Intelligence.

After combating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, agents faced new obstacles as economic headwinds resulted in a fluctuating property market and buyer demand, as well as rising interest rates hindering buyers’ ability to secure a home loan.

While these factors impacted the Western Australian agents’ numbers across key metrics, they continued to remain resilient and triumphed throughout 2022.

The top 50 agents sold fewer properties for a higher total value in the 2022 calendar year, according to this year’s rankings.

While they sold 3,843 properties in 2022 valued at $3.3 billion, they sold 3,859 properties in 2021 for $3.08 billion.

Similarly, while the top 10 agents sold fewer properties in 2022 (967 compared to 1,206 in 2021), the total sales value rose from $1.27 billion in 2021 to $1.3 billion in 2022.

The top 50 agents sold an average of 77 properties each worth $66.7 million in 2022, while the top 10 agents sold 97 properties on average worth $130.4 million.

On the other hand, the average days on market reduced from 42 to 37 across the top 50 agents in 2022 and from 38 to 31 across the top 10 agents, according to the 2023 ranking.

For the rankings, agents were asked to submit data from their settled residential sales for the 2022 calendar year.

The rankings were determined by using a range of metrics, including the number of properties sold, the total dollar volume of properties sold, and the average sale value.

Each agent has been ranked comparatively across these three metrics against their peers, with the combined comparative score used to determine the top-ranked Australian agents.

Commenting on the achievements of the listed agents in Western Australia, REB editor Grace Ormsby said:

“Western Australian agents had a huge year in 2022, and it’s clear to see the efficiencies and professionalism that are now at play across the state.

“Despite a number of headwinds, Western Australian agents have once again gone above and beyond in their pursuit of high performance and professionalism.”

In the coming weeks, REB will release the Top 50 Agents 2023 rankings for Queensland, Victoria, and NSW.

The Top 100 Agents and Top 50 Women in Real Estate 2023 rankings will be revealed soon after.
