Having begun her career in the industry at Harcourts nearly two decades ago, Karla Major takes up a new role in the network’s property management division.
Ms Major has been appointed as Harcourts property management operations manager for NSW and the ACT, a position she believes will stimulate personal and professional growth.
She declared she’s “fill[ed] with excitement” at rejoining the network that first introduced her to the real estate industry in 2005.
In the 18 years since, Ms Major has occupied senior property management positions at some of the nation’s leading agencies, including Ray White, First National, and LJ Hooker, where she was the network performance manager.
Reflecting on her career thus far, Ms Major said she’s “grateful for the opportunities [she’s] been given; working with exceptional individuals has been a privilege, and I will always be grateful for the time spent collaborating with some of the best in our industry”.
Katrina Tarrant, Harcourts chief executive officer, said the network is “thrilled” by her arrival, which bolsters their freshly strengthened property management team.
“Karla’s extensive experience and proven leadership skills make her the ideal candidate to spearhead our ambitious property management growth strategy,” she added.
“We are confident that under her guidance, we will continue to elevate our service standards and exceed the expectations of our network.”
Ms Tarrant believes Ms Major’s arrival strengthens the network’s standing in Australia’s most populated state, NSW, as well as its property management services.
“The addition of Karla to the team will further fortify Harcourts’ position as a leading real estate network in New South Wales,” she said, adding that the network is “known for its customer-centric approach and unwavering commitment to excellence”.
Following some much-needed rest and recuperation with her family, Ms Major is bursting with excitement to make an impact with her new role, stating: “I will be diving into this dynamic change, which will enable me to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the industry I am so passionate about.”
“Here’s to embracing change, pursuing passions, and welcoming new possibilities,” she concluded.
Ms Major’s arrival is the second homecoming the network has seen this year, following the return of a former Harcourts South Australia chief executive to the top job in January.
Her appointment is also the latest in a long line of Harcourts business moves this year, which include new offices in Queensland’s Maryborough, Hervey Bay, and Yarrabilba regions, as well as a trans-Tasman recruit for the network’s Queensland team.
