An industry research study has been launched to uncover the agency models that are most effective for agents based on their skills and experience.
With an evolving property market and an upcoming spring selling season, agents are evaluating their agency models to maximise their office’s potential.
Real Estate Business (REB), in partnership with Raine & Horne, has launched their inaugural “Your Future Network” survey to capture the attitudes, perceptions and priorities of agents toward their current agency model.
The survey, conducted by Momentum Intelligence, will explore the skills, ambitions and satisfaction of agents with their current agency model to guide agents on this journey.
The anonymous survey seeks to capture the nuances in agent skill sets, their goals and ambitions for the future and the best practices in the industry from top-performing offices.
REB editor Grace Ormsby said that the survey will provide a never-before-seen look at what agents and business owners are looking for when it comes to office support, teamwork, culture and branding.
“Each year, REB reports on hundreds of new office openings and brand launches. Every agent operates differently, and this survey will take a look at the motivators and drivers which see business owners choosing to stay put or make a change.”
The director of market research firm conducting the study, Michael Johnson, commented, “This study will capture the nuances involved in making decisions about your future network. It will explore the benefits and challenges of both franchise and independent models, with a view on the agents’ personas most likely to find success in these models.”
Mindy Powell-Hodges, the head of network at Raine & Horne Corporate, shared: "With another EOFY tucked away, what a great opportunity to step back and access where you are now and what your future looks like.
According to her, "it's time to access if the network you're with offers all the tools and support you need for a thriving and growing business, or if you are embracing the independent model is it leaving you a bit isolated, trying to resource your training and support?"
"Either way, step back and review your needs to grow and develop teams around you that will continue to succeed," she espoused.
The corresponding report will be made available to all participating agents, property managers and principals and will be distributed by REB in June 2023.
The anonymous survey is open to all principals, sales agents and property managers from today until 15 June 2023. In return, participants can opt to receive a copy of the research report and enter the prize draw.
