Eyeing rapid growth of its residential asset class offering across Australia, the global real estate firm has made a key executive appointment to drive its expansion strategy.
Diana Sarcasmo has joined Colliers’ national executive team as the managing director of residential for Australia, adding a wealth of experience to her new role on the firm’s executive slate.
Drawing from her extensive background in multiple leadership positions within development and property management group Mirvac, Ms Sarcasmo brings a depth of expertise to drive forward Colliers’ residential initiatives.
Her experience includes overseeing the Mirvac Design division, as well as leading the national residential sales and marketing teams.
Additionally, her “deep understanding of the residential property development cycle” further enhances her ability to navigate market complexities and deliver strong outcomes for Colliers’ residential offerings, according to the firm.
“Her ability to drive transformational change, implement operational best practice and develop high-performing teams will see her focused on accelerating the growth of Colliers’ residential asset class offering across Australia,” it stated.
Ms Sarcasmo voiced her enthusiasm for aligning with a firm she describes as “industry leaders across the country” across several property segments, including build-to-sell, build-to-rent, development site sales, and advisory services.
“I’m looking forward to collaborating with the residential leadership team to drive design excellence and project performance, expand the team’s capabilities, and work with clients to incorporate market insights and trends into new developments,” she stated.
Colliers’ chief executive for Australia, Malcom Tyson, expressed his belief that Ms Sarcasmo’s “diverse skill set will elevate the expert advisory our residential team provides”.
“This is an exciting appointment for Colliers that will ensure we continue to drive exceptional results for our people and our clients,” he concluded.
